NUNGNUNG WATERFALL TOUR
Aside from the beaches, the bars and the nightclubs, there are some other things to do in Bali. And its worthwhile exploring all the nature and alternative outdoor options including waterfalls.
Nungnung is an easy access waterfall. A two hour drive from the Legian or Kuta areas, this tour drive provides some scenic routes on the journey to the waterfall. The hike down to the waterfall is not laboured, and is quite well paved.
The waterfall itself is about 250-300 feet and during the wet season, roars down creating a mist in the little valley. During the dry season, it makes for a wonderful swimming hole. Worthwhile visiting and spending a few hours.

“A hidden gem!”

This feels like one of the few hidden gems left in Bali.
The entrance fee is 10.000 IDR pr. Person (2017) no more no less! So its pointless to try and haggle over the price! But boy is it all worth it!
From the entrance you have to walk down about 500 messy steps till you reach the waterfall. This isn’t gonna be a problem for the average person. But should you have some mobility problems you have now been warned!
As stated above this feels like a hidden gem. We only saw about four other couples at this place and we stayed about an hour or so.
We can only highly recommend this place!

What other thing you can see if you visit this waterfall:
- Sangeh Monkey forest
- Penataran Agung Puncak Mangu
SANGEH MONKEY FOREST
Sangeh Monkey Forest near the village of Sangeh, in southwestern Bali, has six hectares of forestland with giant nutmeg trees. The main attractions here are the hordes of funny yet wise Balinese monkeys inhabiting both the trees and the temple, Pura Bukit Sari, found in the heart of the forest. The monkeys of the forest are believed to be sacred and indeed will approach anyone paying respects at the temple. But visitors should be aware that these monkeys are attracted to shiny objects, so cameras and jeweler should be left behind or kept well hidden under clothes or in a bag when exploring Sangeh Bali.
PURA PENATARAN PUNCAK MANGU
Pura Penataran Puncak Mangu is a very important temple in Badung regency, its location at the northern corner of Badung regency about 1.5 hours from Ubud or Kuta.
For now a very rare tourist visit this temple but the beauty and majesty of this temple is very prominent. We recommend to visit.
According to Babad Mengwi, on the orders of Cokorda Nyoman Mayun Pura Agung Penataran Puncak Mangu established Saka year 1752 or 1830 AD, but previously been found in the form of worship tools Linga.
According to the archaeologists, this Lingga is contemporary with the Linga at Pura Candi Kuning. Experts estimate the use of Linga and Temple as a medium of worship in Bali lasted from X-XIV century. After that century worship in Bali uses Meru and Gedong forms. When exactly Pura Pucak Mangu was founded there is no inscription or other sources firmly declare it.
